I'm not sure how I can spin the anemic hitting of the Padres...in an unfortunate path to the WORST hitting in the HISTORY of MLB...really?...it would be back in '88, and I don't mean 1988, it is 1888, that some team has hit this poorly...and if you can find it, SD swatted .171 for the month of June...eegads, just may be the record...which follows, is the lack of scoring runs...also on a pace of no other...seems to me, we should be playing small ball (bunting), in every situation possible...
The pitching however, has kept us in games...and two of our better ones, are call ups from the minors...a Cuban defector and a bloke named Hahn (pictured)...both have been wonderful...and our closing staff equally as strong...and last night...
We for the 2nd time this season, won a game with but one, ONE, uno, ein, 1...hit!...keeps SD precariously out of the cellar, which has to be our goal for the season, right?...
The owners have blamed this embarrassment on the former GM...fired him...and kept the inadequate game manager on...and there are no trades or player movements a happening...hmmm...and the beat goes on...
The entire US soccer nation will be gathering for the epic battle this afternoon with Belgium in the knockout phase of the World Cup...pour me a beer and let's jump up and down...I believe that we can win...nice drama for a lot of folk who dig this stuff...just is, that I am so used to seeing 1- nil scores that it doesn't intrigue me much...ha ha...
And of course, I always follow up a good round with an atrocity...got the rolling hooks and couldn't break 90...got steamed...which is never good...and, well, it was a great correction for my handicap...ha ha...
Totally switching gears...the Bachelorette...Andi...why do the choosers always pick the bloke or blokette that the other wannabes despise?...isn't it always this way?...is it scripted?...or do the people really like the bad boy or girl?...
I am lost at what to say to blokes who do nothing but criticize the Prez...and I ask...what do you have in mind?...who do you have in the wings to change what you want changed?...don't see a Tea Party alumnus ready to go...or anyone else, for that matter...only see Democrats lined up...give me something to ponder...the negative crap is worthless...
From the absurd file...rookie head coach, Jason Kidd...he's moving his style of leadership to Milwaukee to guide the Bucks...gives up on the Nets...hmmm...this has got to be a joke, right?...give him no more than two seasons to get the midwest boot...
General Motors...think that they haven't been hiding errors in their products?...as just now...many, and I mean very many....vehicles have been recalled for countless misfiring parts...very scary...if you drive one of 'em...or if they are on the road...
