At Pimlico RT...leg 2 of 3...wait, I thought they had 4?...oops, so stupid...I know...no calls, please...as California Chrome is at it again today...the Triple Crown...it's been years since a horse has won all 3...more likely to get this one...and that's how I bet it...I do have a long shot to keep your eyes and maybe $ on...Bayern...just a hunch...but most of my cash is on Chrome...

In the aftermath of the also rans in the NBA playoffs...the top 2 of my likings are done...you know the Blazers and the Clips...PDX resigned their coach for an extension...let's hope he gets a different defensive coordinator...and LA is floundering about with the ridiculous owner situation...as that will drag on for months...can't the owners get on with it and do their vote?...or will the "time will heal all wounds" theory be used...nope...this is a crisis in waiting...

Oh my, the Pads...resorted back to ugly...as they were no hit through 6 innings...by a soft throwing lefty...Mgr Buddy brilliantly put together a gaggle of righties to rip the southpaw...how'd that work?...and sat the only real hot hitter on the team...Seth Smith...eegads, at times I am looking at F Troop...you remember that silly little sitcom?...pretty much made fun of everyone...not just the Injuns...I digress...ended up losing, of course...and, well, let's be patient...

Barbra Wawa is retiring...and I must say...she was fantastic!...really?...yup...I think she was the best interviewer out there...she was THE first gal to get a chance in the field...now, every single news team has a lady at the desk, right along side the elderly bloke...very cool...Barbara Walters, I mean...

I read a column by the Orlando Sentinel sports guy, Mike Bianchi...lordy...his style is mine...I swear to you, I copy NO ONE!...but you must put him on your bookmark and follow this dude...wait...and still read me...now, he's ONLY sports...unlike me, who delves into much more fun topics...

Like the ever present K fam...who doesn't write about this?...gag...

Oh yea, I like the Heat and the Spurs to get to the finals....and I am NOT much interested...really...when you have no vested interest, it's just not the same...I'll watch, but will hope for the bizarre...

For all of you Pacific Northwesters who called (2!) and checked up on us in the fire zone...we thank you...and the winds and heat have died down...thus, the fires, too...at least three people have been arrested for arson...hmmm...and realized we have lived here 8 years now...and yesterday was the 1st for smoke in the GQ...and just as fast, it's gone...

We are going to go to breakfast at Hob Nob Hill Restaurant in Hillcrest this am...it was a feature on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives...Triple D...hosted by Guy Fieri...figure we'll have to wait in some line or something...wait, there is nothing other than a line...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
