Overcome

This is a feel good story...the winner of the PGA event in Charlotte, North Carolina...J B Holmes...just two years ago he had BRAIN SURGERY...twice...then went through a battle to get back...and had a series of injuries that were attributed to the extreme need to succeed...and return to the level of excellence that's needed to win on the tour...he's one of them long ball crushers...that seem to hit past the doom of the mere mortals...past the bunkers and agua that is set up for the 290 yard guys...if there is a down side...he is extremely meticulous...er, SLOW...pick up the pace...for all of us hacks...and yea, he made a cool $1.2 million for the V...

On the other hand, popular San Diegan, Lefty...fell apart in the 4th and maybe needs one of them thingers that J B had...just kidding...but he does some mighty Q things...and had one time where he 4 putted from 2 1/2 feet...really....and am going to leave HIM off my pix for the Players...have to come up with 5 blokes...hmmm...

The Pads did get a win...and salvaged one from the lowly DBacks...finding the plate in the bottom of the 9th on a reversed call at 1st...call me happy with the review booth...as these umpire blokes miss MANY close calls...and the replay reverses a bunch of 'em...get it right...and it stops all the stupid umpire/manager face offs...in comes the Royals of KC...we should win a couple of these, right?...

NBA playoffs...long odds for PDX against San Antone...Coach Pop will have a field day with the below avg effort of the Blazer staff...so says me...BUT...I will root long and hard for the PNW team...and the Clips...against the Thunder (Soopersonics)...I see this a toss up...could care less about the east...as it will be the Heat, regardless of what you think...

Need some rest...as we have celebrated the cinco de mayo thinger for 3 straight days...and NOT on the day itself...ha ha...no seriously...going to get out and practice some putting...will lay low for a couple of weeks from the game...big golf trip to Vegas coming up...

Following up on the Seniors....Pokey Bernie did win...but Freddie came from nowhere and made it a game...lost by a stroke...and Stacy Lewis whipped the Ladies by 6...for another W and moved into number 2 in the world....by the way....do you know who is ranked number one for the guys?...Tiger...how is that possible?...

Off to getting my dash fixed on the Lexus...in another of CH's bonehead moves, had a iPhone holder erected on it...and now pay boucoups $ to get it removed and fixed properly...and you think I'm a bright guy...wait, no you don't!

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
