Chrome

It was the bet...and for the 1st time that I can remember, I missed the race...was enroute back home from the golf course...I'm sure I saved some $ that I would have put on some other hosses...regardless, I got $25 on the nose...and a guaranteed 4-1...so cool...California Chrome...saw the replay...and was a clear cut winner...

Had one of my better rounds yesterday...a sweet 81...and missed 3 3 ft putts...and am going back to my other putter...ha ha...the game is always in a constant state of change...at least, for CH...

Did you see the end of the PDX/Houston game?...a winning 3 point shot by PG Lillard...and the Blazers move on the face the SA/DAL winner...that was so much fun...the 1st series win for them since 2000...

And my other team, the embattled Clips...went to the very end themselves to beat the GS Warriors (?)...did not see this, as we were at a dinner party...but did follow by game day on my phone...shame on me...and they now face the Thunder (Soopersonics)...

Lefty had a 63 yesterday and moved back into the hunt in the PGA event in...???...JB Holmes is in the lead...and in the seniors, my two least favs are at the top, slow motion Bernie Langer and pouty Colin Montgomery...boooo....the LPGA is not on the tube, that I can find...???...

If you are in my area, look at Pacific Detail to get your cars and rigs cleaned up...they do an awesome job...seems like new...really...just go east on Market...

My golfing partner accused me of coloring my hair...ha ha...it's not blonde anymore...I explained to him that he is looking at me way too much...unless he's, like, you know...which I am not...you know...not that there's anything wrong with that...

The Pads...eegads...whupped by two of the worst pitchers in beisbol...and are playing up (down) to their stats as the worst hitting team in all of the bigs...and, if not last, next to it in every single team stat...and for the 3rd day in a row...are favored!...if you been betting, you been taking a bath...I really believe that a win is in order today...however, never, ever bet on MLB...

Did you see that the Hard Rock in Vegas is banning motion picture star, Ben Affleck, from playing black jack at their casino?...he's too good, they say...in other words, they think he is counting cards...me thinks that is a compliment...like he needs the $, right?...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
