You want your rivalry games, do you?...and these were beauts...a full weekend of them...and the topper?...the unimaginable finish to the Tide/Auburn one...

Game tied...one second on the clock, via a replay...and the Tide attempts a 56 yd FG...after missing all 3 of their tries in the game...bring out a different bloke to give it a go...'Bama said it was their long distance one...he kicks it, a bit short, and the Auburn lad catches it, and runs it out of the end zone...all the way to the OTHER END ZONE!...108 yds...and Auburn won...knocked the Tide off the number 1 perch in the BSBCS...and maybe, just maybe, put Auburn in the title game...cuz...

Ohio St is vulnerable...even though they beat Michigan...they are in a sorry ass league...and the Wolverines had their chance to throw their game into OT...instead...they scored a TD with 30 seconds to go...and if they kicked an Xpoint, it would have gone to that OT...wait, the home team coach, you know the guy that bolted from SDSU after one year, goes for a two point conversion to win the game right then...normal thoughts go, do that on the road, not at home...and, well, they didn't score...game over...and Ohio St winds 42-41...boo...and CH thinks that they will be number 3...YES, even though undefeated...because...

Florida St ripped Florida....and will be numero uno...from what I have seen they are the best...really...and that bloke from the Gators is a piece of work...hope they keep him...bad dude, kids...it is said that they will...give them one more season of crap and they will change their minds...mark my words...back to FSU...speed everywhere...O and D...and they will play...Auburn...who will leapfrog Ohio St...

Obamacare...I can't remember a more disorganized thinger coming out of the government...which has a history of messed up thingers....the concept seemed good...the need seemed good...the rhetoric seemed good...the actual implementation seems bad...real bad...

It was great to have Cris and Leila here for the weekend...it is so hard to move around in his boot...and hopefully it is on the mend...she has been a great nurse...requires so much...

OMG!...SDSU layed a huge smelly egg in Vegas...what a turnaround for UNLV...lordy, the Aztecs are soooooo poorly put together...I turned it off after a 30 point differential...football...not hoops...booo...

Rory finally won again...in Australia...for such a bright future...he has been wallowing about...changed clubs...got himself a gurl...and just didn't play at the top level...maybe this is the jolt he needed...hope so...he's a bright lad...and has a world of talent...good on him...

Holiday Bowl tix are on sale...am I gambling that the Ducks are in it!...do I actually want to watch this half effort of a team now?...say it isn't so, CH...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
