Bowl Season

And you thought it was the Christmas Season...not so fast, my fine fickle friends...are you sure it's not the Bowl Season?...the corrupted series of games for the needy D-1 Football Programs...oops, a bit too honest here...check out the games from yesterday...as the first bunch of the 35 have begun...this is what the schools need to fund themselves...yup, in lieu of a real playoff system...oh well, there were some mentionable items...like I only got 1 of 4 right...ha ha...

The biggest ordeal?...the total collapse of the much hated boss of the WSU Cougs...I guess it was the team's collapse...gave up 15 points in 3 minutes...ha ha...as the MWC team got the W...ha ha ha...and go figure the league...as SDSU whipped....and I mean total domination over the Bills of Buffalo...or whatever they are...NO MATCH...as the league is 2-1...in front of NO ONE!...the stands were bare...in the Tater Bowl...must have been the show up fee that got them there...and why the lone loss?...the Trojans blitzed the Fresno St Bulldogs in Vegas...looked to be a decent crowd ....who wouldn't want to go to Vegas?...let's call yesterday, the Mountain West Bowls....

83...that was my effort...39 on the front...hit the first 6 greens in regulation...and had legit birdie putts on each...got 2 of em....still, my putting sucks...and going back to my new putter...and that is that...still, had a great time and round...

Just saw that PDX and the Clips won...lurve that these two teams are forging to the top of the west...my two teams...what can be better  for a fan?...

OK, I chopped off my 'stache....dang, just too gray...er, white...and couldn't wait for the time to paint it...I'll wait till the new year and git er done...

Picked a hoss out at Hollywood Park...that was a 40-1 shot...hit it...and my account is up over $130...yes sirree...this place is closing down...and here is an interesting take on that...Damn those Injuns...what?...seems like a movement to keep horse racing at Hollywood fell apart...they wanted to have slot machines there to offset the lack of moneys needed to keep the hosses there...BUT...the Native American Lobbyist Organization fought that...wanted to keep the machines at the Native Casinos....ONLY...and convinced ($) the California Legislatures to ban 'em...geez, wonder how they did that?...you think that the system isn't a bit phony?...

Must watch the SNL of last eve...JT and Jimmy Fallon....hear it was hilarious...hope I can find it on, On Demand...

So sad to hear that the young gal who was shot at the Colorado High School has died...such a miserable time...think that the gun lobbyists give a shit?...

Hey, I talk a bunch about the lobbyists...an evil group of people who make money off of you and I...have figured out the system...and influence all of us...whoever has the most $ wins...right?...can't we find a different way of doing things?...or, as a very influential person once told me, "Pete, you need to get into the business"...

 The Bolts very slim playoff hopes begin today out at the Q...host the Raiders...must win out...and it's not blacked out...there are a ton of them Raider peops...that will buy up the extra tix...look for a smash...trust CH...

 Off to the stores to prepare for the family....

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
