Monday Morn
You have no idea how it is to wake up to cloudless mornings here in the GQ...as for a better part of he past summer, we did just that...pooh on you, you might say...OK, it's pretty great, and THAT'S WHY we moved to SD...
The Bolts looked dang good for the time I saw them yesterday....the entire 2nd half...as they beat up on the Boys and won going away...Dallas's division is awful...and they may just still win it...Rivers looked like a young guy...as their new boss has him quick delivering the ball...and more shotgun situations to speed him up...the new system is taking hold...on the other hand, Romo, is the same...not a believer...and is in slow motion...have I ever told you how much I prefer the college game to the pro's?...ha ha...big time...
The Government is going to shut down...so they say...I think we ought to fire all them blokes on the spot and get people in there to run the situation properly...take the lobbyists and and put them in a room and let them figure it out...don't release them until they do so...cuz, they are running the gov't anyway...lordy, our congressional people are soooooo corrupt...they take bribes all over the place...tell me I'm wrong...just tell me...
The Pads had it in the bag...up 6-5 going into the 9th...against SF in the final game of the season...we win and we are in 3rd...yet, our closer, Homer Street, didn't get an out...gave up a tater to the 1st guy he saw...and then 4 straight guys got on base...yup, that's a run kids...we lost...and ended up tied for 3rd...booo....in that, our C Hundley, had two passed balls...eegads, we need a new one next season, right GM?...tough way to finish out the year...I suppose...
The Amazing Race started up last eve...it is a great show...Marsh and I each pick a winner and rib each other as the season progresses...she picked the Oklahoma guys and I picked the baseball wives...after the telecast got going, it was apparent to us, we both have losers...ha ha...
Rain in the PNW...what, so soon?...I can't ever remember it hitting that hard, this soon in the year...right?...
By the way, after their abysmal start, the OSU Beavs have righted their ship...and appear to be a whole lot better than I thought...not sure of their schedule, but I will keep a CH eye on them...
Ducks are still number 2 in the nation...how bad is D'Anthony's foot?...that is the big thing...going to Colorado will be just fine...as it will give him another week to rehab...if that's what it takes...

Reading a book about the legendary Don Felder...guitar guy, my age...grew up in Gainesville, FL...home of the Gators, kids...he who bounced around many, many groups...I'm at the spot, where the Eagles asked him to join their band...lots of bickering between the 2 top dogs, Henley and Frey...still...very interesting stuff...takes me back...pegged pants...remember them?...the beginning of the drug scene...which I was not a part of, thank you...but it was all around me...this Nook thinger is way cool...do you have such a device?...they are cheap and ez to use...
As much as I thought that Coach Lane Kiffin's time had run out on his job at USC...the way he was fired was deplorable...by the former QB of the Trojans, now AD Pat Haden...as Haden met the team flight at 3:45 in the am coming back from Arizona...brought Kiffin into a side room and unloaded the boom...classless act by a continuing classless school...shame on him and them...what a bloody mess...
