If you get lucky...you, too, can get a 1st class upgrade...and WOW!...we did...nothing like it...in our trip to Maui...yessur...

What has happened to the Pads, you ask?...suddenly playing well...WELL, they have developed some nice young arms...starters, outside of the oldster, Eric Stults, who basically carried the team through the bad times...and the bats have come alive...maybe, just maybe, we can finish above the Giants and the Rockies...baby steps...then do the right thing...and bring in a power hitter or two...in the off season...yet, SD are dogs today...won 6 of the last 7...and dogs...no respect...

The line...this is the day that I inspect the betting lines...some that make me go, hmmm....
Stanford over Army by 29...take the points and Cadets...
Nebraska by 4 1/2 over UCLA...what am I missing here?...the Bruins and the points...
Oregon by 27 1/2 over Tennessee...why the 1/2 point?...odd....
Texas over Ol Miss...what?...there is chaos in Dallas...
USC over BC by 14...they better win...or else...
UDub over Illinois by 9 1/2...should be by 20...watch out for them Huskies...
Bama over Texas A&M...???...hope so....
Utah over Oregon St by 3...what?...should be 14...sorry Beaver Nation, but true...

The NFL admitted today that the referees crew blew a crucial call in the game between the Bolts and the Texans...which could have been the diff in the game...yup, really...here's what happened...in the 4th Q, when the Charger D actually stopped Houston...forced them to kick a FG...but the umpire called a roughing the center penalty...you can not pop the hiker when he is delivering the ball...to protect him from injury....clearly, SD jumped over him...made some contact on his back as he raised up...15 yard penalty was called...then the Texans got the ball real close...and scored a TD...big call...which I yelled at the screen at the time...hey, a lot of $ is bet on these games...not sure who does all this betting...but it smelled to high heaven...never, ever, bet on the NFL....the NFL admitted that the call was wrong...."sorry, SD, our bad..."

And then...the Bolts travel to my Eagles...uh oh...the 1st home game for Chip...and the line?...7 1/2...well...WELL...it will be bad, kids...sorry fellow San Diegans...as the speed of Philly will go through, around, over, and right by the sorrowful D of the Chargers...and the chant goes up, "Bring Back Norv!"...no, NO!...not the new guys fault...SD is not deep...and there are some major changes needed, mister GM...like at QB...it will be a turrible Sunday for the Bolts...nice we will be out of the area...

9/11...I compare this to the bombing of Pearl Harbor...as this can't happen to us...and I have never really blamed W for doing what he did...we, as a Nation, wanted to blame somebody, er some country, for the evil strikes...and Iraq got the nod...WMD's...and in the aftermath...well, WELL!...let's not go this path again, Mr Prez....

So we were sitting down at our favorite watering hole last eve...celebrating...and a bum walked by our table...begging...as he had a cigarette propped out of his ear...really...and I waved him along..."Don't do that, or I'll kick your ass"...he muttered...as I quivered in my thongs....and he continued down the way, messing with whomever he ran into...can you smoke through your ear?...
