The mythical number one pick status in the NBA...the "future star"...the PDX Blazers had such a thing back a bit...and took the C from Ohio St, Greg Oden...a popular choice...in lieu of the skinny kid out of Texas, Kevin Durant...and the rest is history...as the big guy had bad feet...still does...and has been rehabbing ever since...no longer a Blazer...and is a free agent...and now...will pick the team he will go to...rumor has it, it may be the Heat...who could GAMBLE on him...hey, when the very big humans, develop bad feet, they are done...I'm just saying...

Today the MLB will announce the group of 8 or 9 guys that will be suspended for 50 games...which may include Everth Cabrera...which the club has been very kind to him in this process...like no big deal..."Cabbie" has had a great season...the SD All Star even...odd stuff...

The Yankees are in the house...and will bring countless fake fans...from the area...wear their NY caps and all...how many of these blokes are from there?...not many...I can tell....when you look at the GQ, the real ones meander about the area...and I have seen zero...really...so, I think the thing is, to root against the Pads...booooo...

The Women's British...Inbee Park is finally getting her due...as the scribes are talking about her more and more...thing is...she doesn't hit it long...but can putt the heck out of it...still, I'm pulling for Morgan Pressell...or whatever she is called now...

We were in line to rent out our condo to a Padre...one of them baseballers...all was in tow....until he found out we didn't have WiFi....hey foo, you have to get that yourself...are you kidding me?...still, we are wanting to sell, not rent...it's time...

Big Brother...no surprise on how this is going...the gals are ruling the compound...ha ha...what?...one by one, they knock off a bloke...absolutely a runaway train...and the guys who think they are safe cuz they hooked up with one of the strong ladies...see ya foo....it's a showmance!....and you are being used...what?...is this the bizarro world?...

Pick 6 carryover....again at Del Mar....today looks real hard...I think there is going to be a double carryover...just too many possibles...really...and then the big time conglomerates put in boucoups bucks...and it's theirs...grr...but that's what it is...yup, I will put in one tix...it's a lottery...last time I got 3 right...what does that pay?...zero...you have to get at least 5...usually...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
