College Football Season...finally...the beginning of the best one of them all...sorry, NFL fans, this is better...the best games?...they are all good...imagine the Trojans flying to Hawaii, and getting beat!...ha ha...or North Carolina upsetting South Carolina...or Rice, scoring 4 touchdowns in the 1st half and holding on to beat Johnny Football...yup, it's the best Jerry, the best!...

Syria is still on hold...thank goodness...hopefully, cooler heads will prevail...I don't want any repeat of shock and awe...

I'm always completely surprised when the Pads play like a good team...as they survive and win the final game at AZ...took a brilliant performance by rookie, Robbie Erlin....5-1...of course, we got big hits from our one and only power guy, Will Venable...by the way, our other guy of the same ability, Carlos Quentin, was shut down for the year...day off...then on to LA to take on them Bums...eegads...

Del Mar...the final weekend...what?...where has the time gone?...of course, me being under the weather was the prob...can't today...either Friday or Saturday...I have to get out again...c'mon...

Idol...what?...the show has redone itself...new producers, new judges...wait...JLo is coming back...as is the country guy, Keith Urban...lots of rumors on the other one or two....Jennifer Hudson?...or Adam Lambert?...Kelly Clarkson?...so far, just rumors...

The Bolts play tonight and nobody cares...as nobody cares about the last exhibition set of games...don't get hurt is the motto...

Another shark attack... in Daytona Beach...just north of where we boogie...in knee depth of ocean...eegads...not what I want to hear...you see, the water is murky....not like down in Miami, where it is perfectly clear...I'm just saying...

The Ducks host the mighty Nichols St...who, what, and where is that school?....I have no idea...and they better be getting huge amounts of cash to put themselves in that den of quackers....eegads...

So today we go shopping for Maui clothes...what?...shorts, tees, and thongs, right?...maybe we are not on the same page on this...I sense a trip to Tommy Bahama is on the horizon...for me...her?...Macy's and Nordy's...amongst others...

Can this be true?...Miley and the Biebs collaborating?...what a pair...the most repulsive ones I can remember in a looooonnnngggg while...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
