Dull Effort

It's not that often that I say that the Pads mail one in...yesterday was one of those..played lethargically...the lack of clutch hitting was huge,,,especially the catcher, Nick Hundley..who hit into 2 double plays...staying with him...he throws nobody out...ever...and Headley...swings for the fences, when he needs to be hitting line drives...and ends up striking out way too often...for a number 3 hitter...ok, time for redemption...afternoon game....Go Pads!

Thank goodness for the golf channel...they have been on site at the PGA...in NY...and we can watch the blokes practice...mostly Tiger...can he getter done?  

Everyday a new gal turns up against Headlock Filner...think he needs to find another job...right?

It's shark week?  We glorify this?   I mean it is scary being out in the Atlantic...you know, warm water...we stay in the middle of the crowd...

The new Bachelor is Sean Paul?  Or something like that...

Carryover Pick 6 at Del Mar today...as usual, my one tix...$2...

Alquida reared it's ugly head again...why would anyone want to serve in the middle east, anyway?

Watched the Women's NBA last eve...not a fan...poor play...and the attitudes?...eegads..,awful.

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
