Chip's Eagles

As I said yesterday...if you can judge anything by one series...the Eagles are in trouble...defensively...not sure if they were missing some blokes...but it was turrible...porous...and worse than that, not deep...not sure who is running it...but they looked lost...offensively?...they looked fine...fast paced?...not so much...I was a little, no, a lot disappointed....if you can judge after one or two sets...

By the way, the Pats are loaded and ready to roll...

OMG...the Pads have given up!...it is a total embarrassment...no life...and for goodness sakes, why the hell would you ever start Kotsay?...just a flipping mess...got to quit watching them...hey, and I am being kind...Quinten now goes on the DL...biggest brittle guy I have ever known...and the combo of Headley and Hundley...it's just turrible....

PGA...9 under leads at the 1/2 way point...surprise for sure...you see some of those fairways?...don't know how any bloke hits them...so small in width...and the roughs are deep...so for the last 2 days you see Lefty and Tiger out at the range until dark, trying to find a straight swing...it is the hardest game in the world...two guys had exceptional rounds...Jason Dufner (63) and Webb Simpson (64)...so it's out there...most of the golfing world want to see the top two guys match those scores...won't happen...I like Adam Scott or Matt Kuchar to win it...by the way, telecast on at 8...on TNT...

The Pick 6 was hit 4 times yesterday for a cool $47 grand each...out at Del Mar...had a buddy text me and ask for some tips as he was out there yesterday...hadn't looked at the form and basically told him good luck...try a Peter Miller trained nag...not even sure if he saddled one...

A former MLB star accused a couple of not before named guys of doping...Jack Clark...how dare he...and rumor has it, he's been fired...shoot, most of them were just 5 or 6 years ago...what a farce...and whenever somebody catches fire, immediately you think that...like the HR hitter from Baltimore....where did this ability come from?..suddenly...see what I mean?...and...do you think the only outlet for the PEDS is from this tiny little shop in Florida?...yea, right...

My son is rolling in today...so we are happy campers...too bad it's such a long drive from SB...but we need to exchange rigs...he's had mine for a bit...and he must be longing for his, that gets a whole lot better mpg than the Lexus SUV...ha ha...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
