So you think pitching doesn't dominate the sport?...the MLB All Star-game turned into a showcase for
the elite pitchers in the league...paltry hitting by both sides...geez, I would have thought we were at a Pads game...wonderful set for the retiring best closer in the biz, the Yank's Mariano Riviera...and he pitched well...still in the low 90's...and got the MVP...good on him...

The aftermath of the Zimmerman trial keeps going on and on...as the jurors are now speaking out...hey people, they are normal, just like you and I...and are not pros...so they just go with what is presented to them and they make their best judgments...I think that 6 is not enough, but I don't write the laws...and my oh my, there are those who want to make this a racial thing...is this the same group that cheered when OJ was sent free?...wasn't that a racial thing?...

Del Mar opening day...they have like 45 to 50 grand at the wondrous place...been there, done that...just too crazy for serious handicappers like me...will be watching closely for the outcomes...usually longer shots come in today...for some reason, the Hollywood Park track doesn't carry over to Del Mar...really...and of course, if Rosario is aboard, the peops will bet the hoss...that is a good move...the Trib added another expert...now, they carry 5 picks...I have always wondered how long they spend on their selections?....I spend like 20 minutes on each race...and yup, the DRF downloaded to my iPad...very cool stuff...

The Open starts very early, our time, tonight...and here's a deal I'm not happy about...the course that is being used, still has the archaic "Men's Only" club...if you are a female you can not be a member of it...let's get real kids...if that's the case, go find another one to use...I am very upset about this...BUT...will watch and try to temper my judgment...Tiger was asked about it and diverted it to the club, itself..it has to be uncomfortable to all the players...or most of them...why not all of them?...I hate that part of golf...it should be for all people, regardless of gender, race, or age...

You know who Johnny Manziel is?...the current Heisman Trophy winner...well...his head is exploding with stuff...he is a huge celebrity because of it...and as a 20 year old, is not handling it too well...a number of questionable things...drinking, carousing...hey, that's college stuff...BUT...he is in the elite area...and he seems to flaunt it...well...he was part of a very prestigious quarterback camp, with the infamous Mannings...and he got the pink slip...wasn't showing up...either on time...or he blew off complete sessions...where people came to just meet him...anyway, he was asked to leave...it's a bad thing...hey Johnny Football, the Biebs is NOT the pattern to follow...

The extremely popular Comic-Con starts up today...here in the GQ it is crrrrraaaaazzzyyy....peops dress up as their favorite character and it resembles the Mardi Gras...well, not exactly...but there are countless numbers of them out there...it is held at the Convention Center...and to get tix, you needed to get them a year ago...really...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
