Stormed Out

The local ball team, the Brevard County Manatees, scored 6 runs in two innings....and then the storms hit...cancelled the game...until today...fuggit about it...another bad day...they are a Brewer farm club...oh well...

Speaking of local...we were watching the sports report on one of the Orlando TV stations...and they were calling the Miami Marlins as the worst team in all of baseball...saying what a joke they were...really....and in the next sentence said they hit a grand salammy and beat San Diego...and the gal reporter, responded with..."well then, what does that make the Padres?"....duh..."they are the Padres, right guys?"...absolutely no respect...

And the storms keep right on a coming...one after the other...really...we can't even lay out in...well...in the sun...wherever that is...cuz it's not here...supposedly we will get some tomorrow...I am not kidding we went to see a flick yesterday...The Heat...Marsh liked it, and I thought it was just OK...for as good as McCarthy is, Bullock is as bad...mindless sorta fun...anyway...as we got out, we went shopping in the Merritt Island Mall...and then we heard some mega-pops...and then the rains hit...as hard as I have ever seen...and I have seen aplenty...


You following the Zimmerman trial?...big news down here...who was the aggressor?...that's the question...and it's up to the eye witnesses...and who the jury wants to believe...I am not sure...

For dindin, we walked over to the spot formally called "Arthur's"...one of the mainstays when we purchased our condo here in Cocoa Beach...he has since moved on...and we had snow crab and steak...both very good...really...a couple of drinks and all...with tax, the total was $58...you judge yourself...

And I am sleeping well...as I am still catching up...it sure would be nice if it was nice...geez...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
