Blue Bayou

I was thinking back in my time...way back in my time...about the great singers that passed through my ears...and realized that there were a whole gaggle of them...really good ones...and some go unnoticed for the most part...like James Taylor, for example...he has had so many wonderful songs to sing along to...you get the idea...

One of them is legendary songstress, Linda Ronstadt...my age to boot...her claim to fame were hits like Blue Bayou, You're No Good, Different Drum...amongst others...she actually started in the country field, went pop, then dabbled in the classics...all very good stuff...my favorite of all?...her connection to Nelson Riddle and his Orchestra...check it out, kids...

Of course, I am into real songs now...not the synthesized crap that the record companies are putting out...so, the country people are easily my favorites...must be my age and stuff showing through...are you going to iTunes?...if not, I hope you have a good site...I'm all mac, so it fits real well with the computer system of Apple...they have done it right...really now, look deeper than her pop hits...I've Got A Crush On You....and many more...

Looking back at the marvelous finish of Lefty...at the Open...birdied 4 of the final 6 holes...remarkable and worthy of the crown...he genuinely seems like a good bloke...despite the nickname the other pros have stuck to him...the fans like him...and he treats them right...not like someone else does...

And the Pads lost again...this time 3-2...yet better effort...and Gyorko had a blast at the top of the wall hauled in to finish the game off...too bad...our best pitcher was going...thus the low runs given up...still, we need an overhaul on the offensive side of things...duh...

Del Mar...great opening week...and yup, I have yet to go...this week I'm sure...I'll just let the crowds dwindle away...and I will have a better grip on what jockeys and trainers to go with...

We opened the windows and let the fresh air in...in lieu of the AC...it was a great night...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
