The Derby

Somewhere down the line, it became the thing for the ladies to wear the flowering, bodacious hats...much the same as opening day out here at Del Mar...it's part of the ritual and elegance of the biggest single race in horse racing...The Kentucky Derby...as CH calls THE DERBY...anyway...the peops from all over are trying to analyze it...and there are at least 10, count 'em, 10 strong possibles...Orb has been the early pick and will go off as the fav...lots of late $ on Normandy...hey, you have 20 legit chances...I still like Revolutionary and will get out to Sycuan a put a bundle on him...

It's not often that a group can shoot a gross 59 and not get the top spot in a scramble T...that was us...it was one that did not figure in handicaps...the team behind us had a big ringer that belted his drives 300+ yards...young guy that was the real deal...nevertheless, we played great and it was as good as a score as we could have done...it was fun and a great time...

The Pads bashed the ball all over the yard last eve and get this, escaped with a 7-6 V...I blame Mgr Buddy...he brought in a puss baller, when we were up 7-3 in the top of the 9th...he figured that it wasn't a save opp, so he SAVED his closer...until...the pb'er put the 1st 2 guys on and created the save position...and he came in and gave up a 3 run HR...prior to getting the last out...get the win...bad baseball...

The Clips are done...like I said they would be...not before many arguments and temper tantrums...of course, the biggest jerk in the history of NBA officiating, Joey Crawford, had the game...and he tossed out a couple of blokes...pretty much made the game HIS...and, as usual, ruined it...the game...LA is severely poorly coached...has no idea about a 1/2 court O and needs to be replaced...sorry kids, but it's true...

Don't look now, but Lefty has re-emerged...good lord, when he does...he lambasts the field...Phil Mickelson...is up 2 at the half way point...when he is on, he has no equal... and he is on...when either he or Tiger are rolling, the TV peops turn it on...look for a goood rating...

Did you see who the mag Maxim chose as their sexiest person?...am I missing something?...of all the people they could have chosen...Miley?...are you kidding me?...she must have  a hell of an agent...is it like in the 50's and 60's where there was the payola thinger to the radio stations?...I mean c'mon...
