The Weekend

Don't hate me cuz I'm beautiful...had to make an emergency trip to the good doctor in SB...filling came out and had to have the tooth fixed right away...and I have to tell you, if you are in need of a great dentist...Dr. Cris Shepard is extraordinary...and, I say that without him being my son...when you are in the chair, makes no diff if you are blood or not...explains everything that he is going to do...as he does it...terrific...

Geez, I am fearing the worst...the emergence of the hated Lake Show...who came out of the depths and beat another team at the end...this time it was the Toronto group...hey, makes no difference if they are bad or good...LA needs wins...and are but a game back of number 8, currently held by the Jazz...Kobe was awesome...one thing, the coaching staff of the Canadian team, didn't foul when up by three with less than 6 seconds to go...twice...as KB knocked down prayers...

You watching the WBC?...Mexico beat the US of A...what?...I am not sure I know 1/4th of the All Stars we have on our team...the first round is a round robin...tonight is a must win versus Canada...Italy, next...our mgr?...Joe Torre...just can't imagine how the bigs allow this to go on when they are making the teams fit for the upcoming season...something about money, I suppose...

What is going on in Florida?...have not seen a hole of it...will today...Tiger and Lefty leading?...Woods up by 2, and as they say, no better front runner, EVER...and Rory?...says he had lost his swing...as well as a bad tooth...maybe he needs a trip to Santa Barbara and get that fixed....as far as his swing is concerned, can't help him there...

A lot of noise out of USD...where the rabble rousers were ready to fire their hoops coach, Bill Grier...as I have talked about a few times ago...not so fast, my friend...as his hoopsters have come alive in the conference tourney...and won twice...last night was BYU...yup, BIG WIN...tonight is Saint Mary's....fresh off of a recruiting scandal...what?...in college hoops?...good luck Toreros...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
