Ducks

If you could get by the TV announcers, you probably would have enjoyed the Pac 12 Champs, the U of O!...as they thoroughly dominated the Bruins of UCLA...and having watched them some 8-10 times, I will say that the offense they were running was different, quicker, and much more efficient...maybe it was the same sets, but this weekend they were attacking the basket...they always play hard...what made it hard to stomach was...the incredibly horrific commentary by the former UCLA, Boston Celt, SD Clipper, and PDX Blazer star....Bill Walton...whose constant banter and inexplicable ineptness was way too evident...and he kept heaping praise upon the Bruins up to the last 1:15 of the game...when it was wrapped up...BY THE DUCKS!...

Today is the day that the Big Dance lineup is announced...did I say tourney?...that which is missing in only one sport in D-1...football...I digress...the selection committee has a tough journey this time around as there is not some clear choices or leagues to pick from...maybe the Big 10...but not the Big East as in the past...I have some that will be a factor...Louisville, Kansas, Ohio St, Gonzaga, and my sleeper team of all, New Mexico...it's all about where they are placed and who they play...duh...

St. Paddy's Day...it has already begun in the GQ...it was wild and wacky last night...and today it will be more of the same...5 block party...which we will not be part of...

Say what?...Steve Stricker has won $1.82 million so far in 3 tourneys on the PGA Tour...legend Arnold Palmer made $1.86 million in 734 career tourneys...think things haven't changed?...

I keep looking for the Repub to come out of the woodwork for next time around...it's not the foo who was Mitt's running mate is it?...Paul Ryan...oh my...he is trying to push his own budget...and make a name for himself...at what cost America?...good luck with him, elephants...

The LA factor...the media down here pushes the Lake Show more than any other team, other than the Dodgers...and the 8th spot in the NBA West is precariously held by 'em...but 1/2 game back is the oh so tuff at home Jazz...and the PDX Blazers a notch back, too...

LPGA...is coming to the SD area next week...and their promos have the likes of PC and Michele Wie in their teasers...oh my, those gals have been no factor...the tour is led by the far east golfers...where are the Americans?...Stacey Lewis is the only one figuring the past two years...the only one...

Brace yourself for the next media blitz...the LiLo trial in LA...starts Monday, I think...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
