Spring Training

Wooah, it's time for pitchers and catchers to report to...SPRING TRAINING!...yup, MLB is starting to crank it all up again...it's my fav time of the year...and yup, the Padres are full of optimism...yet again...well...not a lot of movement, other than the fences...with hope that the pitchers that had surgery can help by June...geez...and good lord...our catching issue...with Grandal out for 50 games due to the use of garbage...so we have the tandem of Baker (not bad) and Hundley, a disaster last season...I have my doubts...BUT...let's see what happens in Peoria and cross our fingers...

NBA...PDX led most of the way, yet got blitzed in the end in Miami...Kobe scored 4 points in a win at home...did not see the game, but I bet he was a ball of joy...and Utah won at home, hosting the Thunder...the only place they can win...but, boy do they there...must be the salt in the air...

Manhunt...as the media got it's fill...as he was spotted and it all came to an end...in Big Bear...final shoot out...and then he got fried...in a humongous cabin fire...a bad man...that needed to go...kind of glad that it didn't go to trial...is that wrong?...

Mardi Gras...it was a blast...the only prob was there was no parade...but there were impromptu ones...which was way cool...the dinner we had at Al Aqua 2 was great...our group had a great time...

MWC hoops...no place like home in this league...SDSU is at Colorado St...where they have a 30 something win streak going...really...it's like that...and these teams aren't that bad...as good as the Pac 12 for sure...but, I doubt that the NCAA selection committee sees it that way...

We are off to the desert for a mini-V...should be warm...upper 70's and all...sounds great, huh...

Sad to say that we had the passing of one of my old coaches, Roger Judd...absolutely a great guy, and had the best basketball mind of all the guys I have known...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
