Mardi Gras, SD Style

Phat Tuesday in the Gaslamp Quarter...we get passes...reserve a table on 5th...Al Aqua 2...have dinner, drinks, and watch the crazies go by...it's a big deal here...our "normal" group that goes...pictures coming later on...Mardi Gras!

The Bachelor...kicked off the right one...as the villain was finally given her walking papers...I suppose most of the viewers were way happy on this...most of them types in the past, either won, or finished in the top group...oops, I am type casting...shame on me...

The Clips are back at it...toying with the 76ers in Philly...clobbered them without mercy...until the reserves took over in the entire 4th stanza...just shows what they can do when healthy...CPIII is the best at what he does...run the team...

North Korea is stretching the limits of what the rest of the world will put up with...by testing another nuclear bomb (their reported 3rd)...and make it extremely dangerous for all...it will take a united front of all mankind to deal with these blokes...not just the USA...stay tuned...

A feud between Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood?...ha ha...no need, kids...there is a place for 'em both...but...one has extreme talent and the other has youthful exuberance...not everyone is what they seem...if you know what I mean...never, ever, going there...never...ever...

Busy day...dog gets groomed...change of clubs...find the Phat gear...pack for the Palm Springs trip...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
