Real Hoops

The way I think it should be played...this game of basketball has emerged as no more than pick up hoops...dribble, dribble, dribble...pass...dribble, dribble, dribble...find screen...dribble, then shoot...repeat...gone is the beauty of the game...the constant movement and passing of the ball...sometimes where the ball never touches the floor...finally, I saw some exceptions to this...could be the teams are together a bit longer and the coaches can teach it...Ohio St/MSU was a beaut...both of them with purpose and in sync...what a stunner in Indiana, as previously mentioned in an earlier blog, the Butler Bulldogs, beat Gonzaga at the buzzer...great game...even, Colorado and WSU showed promise...c'mon guys, do your thing and get this game BACK to where it used to be...

NBA...the Clips win again...not easily...as they continue their sluggish play...perfect example of extreme talent, that gets bogged down when it comes to movement of players...CPIII has such an impact on what they do, it is amazing...as bad as the Bucks are...they went in to PDX and won...what?...time for the Blazers to get their D together...

Gun enthusiasts met all over the land yesterday in protest of losing their rights...what?...it's not what we are saying...we are talking about the assault rifles...if you are one of them, you are the ones targeted...not you true sportsmen...you know what I mean...

Played in a 4 club tourney out at Sycuan yesterday...actually 3 clubs and a putter...and I scored lower than I have been lately...ha ha...what on earth am I carrying the extra 10 sticks for?...

The passing of two baseball legends...Mgr Earl Weaver....and Stan "the Man" Musial...

Who do you have today in the NFL semis?...1st up is SF at Atlanta at noon....then it's Balt at NE...good stuff...

SDSU, UNLV, and USD all took their lumps on the road yesterday...good bye to the Top 25...the Ducks beat UCLA at Pauley...don't get it...over-rated...ha ha...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
