From just the weird story of the season...Manti Te'o fantasy ex-girl friend...Notre Dame's star defensive player...who was the runner up for the prestigious Heisman Trophy...who didn't exist at all...he called it a hoax...why did he do this?...the best follow up line I've heard, on his Facebook page...switched from 'in a relationship' to 'it's complicated'...

Chip Kelly...from declining the Philadelphia Eagles job to stay at the U of O...to...taking the job a week later...what?...rumors have been abundant about a possible set of NCAA sanctions...maybe that was the trigger...whatever the reason, I want to see if his system will work in the NFL...I am intrigued...

SDSU made a bold move this past year to jump to the Big East Conference...then...Boise St said no way...changed their mind...and the Aztecs did the same...had to pay a big amount of $ to the BE and back they come...to the MWC...what?...

Lance Armstrong is trying to use the media for another bizarre reason...this time Oprah...somehow to wiggle out of the PID accusation...he is in the twilight zone...for the amount of time that he denied and won in court over the issue...he is going to be back in court...as the people he beat, will seek their monetary revenge...

Big time hoopla for the Aztecs out at the Hill...but...very quietly Bill Grier's USD has gotten off to a 4-0 start in league...with hardly anyone at his games...by the way, the big game at SDSU...UNLV won it and looked much the better team...

To hear anyone try to justify that they need a rapid fire gun...how many times can you shoot a deer?...maybe, if you hit it ten times, you can get the horns for your mantle...why else would you want one?...if you like to shoot 'em, rent one at a firing range...c'mon...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
