The Day After

Hope your Halloween was groovy...we finished it off with a grand black and white party at the Allen's...so cool...

I taped some of the "key shows" of the evening...and watched 'em late...the good...Survivor...gosh, how does this still happen?...I mean Seinfeld lasted only 8 years...this just keeps going on and on...the bad...X Factor...I didn't hear one good voice out of 16...and, OMG, Britney...and why oh why is Khloe  a host?...it is a lame show and I'm not watching again...

The Lake Show...there is so much turmoil at the start of the season...it is said that the pre-season means nothing...as they lost every game...WELL...the season has started and they lost again, this time to the Blazers...big time question marks on the offense they are running...seems to me that it works...they don't have the pick and roll guys that  most other, more youthful, teams have...ha ha...

The line has grown again to 8...the Duck/Trojan game...this will show the rest of the country (hint hint East Coast scribes) just what this Oregon team is all about...figure the weather will help...as it appears to be miserable in the Pacific Northwest right now...

Kudos to 3B Chase Headley of the Pads...gold glove winner!...somehow, the defensive award is tied into the offense...whatever, it is cool for the kid...who had a splashing 2nd half of the season...good times ahead...

Today is bills day...I have told you this before...but...the time goes by so  fast anymore...slow down...and...sometimes, it's good to play bad before a tourney...hope that's the case for the Bad Frog excursion...cuz I was real bad yesterday...practice?...practice?...it's just practice, man...

I am soooooo tired of the negative ads of the candy men...really...get this election over with...talk about a complete waste of money...to raise such humongous amounts of it and throw it away like this...well, it's the politicians morbid way of getting elected...boooooooooo....

New York and New Jersey really got hit by Sandy...amazing fly over photos...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
