Maroon Monday
You have your Black Friday, I have my Maroon Monday...mostly negative thoughts...ooops...I'll try to balance them out, for all of you positive people out there...
Tried to watch the American Music Awards...there appears to be a huge gap between music and what was being discoed out to us...some lip-syncing, some dancing, some choreography, some pyro stuff, and a very little bit of real singing...sorry for this kids, but the worse than the Jonas Bros Award goes to Beeber, er, whatever he is...a fine example of producing with little substance...oops, that's from all of us haters out here...KC, do not wear a short skirt, yet...for as well as she is doing financially in the biz, Taylor has a very marginal voice...Carrie won the night, easily...have to admit, Pitbull seems like a lot of fun...
NFL...another week where it is hard to figure out...the Pack survived against the Lions...showing why in a bad day, QB Rogers is a great one...Pitt has absolutely the ugliest unis in the history of the game...Norvy and QB Rivers need to go in a package deal, as they were the worst...as the Bolts lost to the Broncos...probably the most feeble effort this season offensively of any NFL team...clean house...SF tonight, without their QB Smith...need this one...you know, I bet them in Vegas...
BSBCS...what a set of huge upsets...as KSU and Oregon go down...and propels the soft scheduled ND to the top...and they have to get a win at USC to finalize their spot in the BSBCS Champ Game...which most pundits thought that they would lose...but...the Trojans lost their QB and the game to UCLA...and put Coach Lane in a precarious position...bye bye Laney...so, the Irish come into LA and win it...to a chorus of boos...the 2nd spot?...well, the south has a playoff game, which will eliminate one of them...Oregon is at OSU...a must win...the next two weeks will be more interesting...
Is there any way that a full scale invasion can be stopped in the Gaza?...I don't think so...Israel will not take the constant shelling of their country...the price of humanity is out of control in that area...let's hope that there is a solution...if not, it will be total devastation...
Mid 70's today here...have to get out to Sycuan and practice me game some this afternoon...I keep tinkering...by the way, the greens are like a 13 on the stimp meter...so easy to 3 putt...ha ha, and even more...kind of fun, yet frustrating, too...
NBA...the new style of the Lake Show...they had Kobe at point...ran the pick and roll almost exclusively...OK, we'll see...and PDX mixed up their d with some zone...good move, as they are not good man to man...
