Cyber Monday

Most of you will probably be smack dab in front of your computer, gazing at all the "Cyber Monday" deals...20 years ago, there were very few of us that had these wonders of technology...let alone, the internet...you know, the phenomena that Al Gore founded...his boast as he was named the running mate of Slick Willy...and paid for most everything you wanted and needed by this thinger called a "check"...and listened to the likes of Whitney Houston..."I Will Always Love You"...trying to figure out how to buy a $122,000 home...or a $17,000 car...to keep up with the pace of the everyday family...on a $23,000 a year salary...yup, that was 1992...the year that Ross Perot entered the prez race...and it exploded from there...

Now, you can buy anything...ANYTHING...on the net...and it is a whole easier than running down to the mall and finding that special gift...UPS has to be ecstatic...you can even by a car...and how many of you still have a land line for a telephone?...you know, the corded thing that is connected to the wall...with the spiraling cord that holds that talking and hearing device so nicely in your hand...not me...

What's the best deals out there?...geez, try Amazon, Overstock, Ebay, and on and on...they all are offering sweet ones...seems most everyone is getting a tablet reading device...where you can get a book, in lieu of the hard bound physical object that you hold in your hands...lots of options out there...I still like the feel of the book, Marsh just the opposite...

My oh my...the Bolts found another way to lose...this time nursing a 10 point lead in the 4th...like 5 1/2 minutes to go...and the topper in the last 2 minutes...up by 3...with Baltimore in a must situation...4th and 29...and drop the ball off to their RB, who gets the 29...and tie it at the buzzer, then win in OT...the Trib's writers are merciless on Norvy...

Pink slip day for other coaches...as Auburn (wow, the champ 2 years ago), NC State, BC, Purdue, Cal, clean house...c'mon SD, follow up and get rid of this mess...

Don't look now, but SDSU continues it's rise in hoops...knocking off USC in LA...with two key guys out...be aware...

Think that Rory McIlroy is not the best in the game right now...he just won in Dubai, and is the money winner in the European AND American tours...

Good morning all, from the great state of Oregon...this whole trip is about FRIENDS!...meeting up with peops we have been with over our years in the PNW...and for Boss's reunion....the opening act was a combo party of the two at this pad, a bar, called Johnny's...simply said, it was fun... The stories were there, the faces remained the same...and it tickled moi, that so many FRIENDS showed up...unfortunately, I did not get enough time to talk to all, please forgive me...when you go back some 60 years, my memory does fade a tad...well, and so does their's...ha ha...believe me, it was worth the trip... Boss was one of the belles of the ball...yes, she still looks great...you know that....well, the rest of her class did not know that, until last eve...she was flitting (flirting) about so...which made me smile...and that is only the beginning of it...the REAL reunion is tonight...one of my FRIENDS reminded me that is the gals reunion...which I think is most reunions...it is for...

When the thesaurus ran it's new version...it highlighted the word 'oration'...and there it was ... President Barack Obama...and then there is more..... see...Michelle Obama ...these two have the fundamental prowess of giving speeches...at the right time...at the right place... No better example of this, than last night at the DNC...each were marvelous...of course ...it's what people, special people, like these two...do...carry a message across the Nation...that we all can not only understand, but agree with... For seemingly years, the Horse has said...that if Michelle O wanted to be in the White House, AGAIN...this time as the President, and not the wife...she could ...however, for right now...she is supporting the right choice...for this time of the history of our country.... Tonight, we hear another exceptional orator...President Bill Clinton ...it's almost like taking a class in college...Speech 101...BTW, I was turrible at it...just in case you were wondering......
