Bubble Burst

The bubble burst on the Oregon Ducks last night...AT HOME...to the Stanford Cardinal, er, formally the Indians...I digress...in a match of two equal teams...the absurdity of the 20 point spread quite evident from the tip off...as your betting helper, Crazy Horze, has been saying all week...
17-14 win in overtime for the visitor...as their front seven on D masterfully handled the running game of the Ducks...I didn't see that happening...every team in the country is going to want the dvd of this game to study...got to find a way to stop the Chip Spread O...Stanford has it...
Nevertheless, each team had their moments...you can go back and second guess quite a few times, on what ifs...they scored at the end when they had to...and sent the game to OT...from there it was their kicker was better than the Duck one...I have always said, it is a tough way to win or lose...to a little bloke who trots on to the field and decides the game...as everyone else, that is so banged up from head to toe, awaits the little bloke's swing of his foot...so be it...

And the soft schedule of Notre Dame is paying off...as they are the last team standing...and will play Alabama, probably....as Kansas St got mauled by the Baylor Bears last eve...in the BSBCS...the Irish play at USC next week...speaking of the Trojans...what on earth?...they got ripped a new one by their cross town rival, UCLA...and the SC peops are calling for the head of Coach Lane...ha ha...knew that was coming...can they muster up enough to knock off ND?...stay tuned to the week ahead...

Back to the Ducks...they finish their regular season against the ever surprising Beavers...fresh off of a slaughter of the hapless Bears...who have to get rid of their coach, right?...I am really curious to the line on the Civil War...for U of O to play in the Pac 12 Champ Game, they must win, and Stanford lose to UCLA...weird stuff there...if Stanford wins, they play UCLA again in the P12CG...

The Pac 12 season has been a complete surprise...much better teams than I thought originally...coach of the year goes to Mike Riley...who'd a thunk that...the emergence of OSU, UCLA, and Arizona St, has been super...and the steady improving Stanford team has been a wow factor...think back, they got screwed at Notre Dame...all in all, a very good conference...

And to those of you who say you are too busy to read...I mean you think that gandering here at Crazy Horze fulfills your day...and you scoffed at "The Panther", then try anything that David Feherty has written...or get the latest on TJ, that's Thomas Jefferson, you good people...some of you are sitting in the cold and rain...and think that TV is the salvation...I'm telling you, explore...
