Normally I'd talk about the less mundane things that happen in the world of sports, entertainment, or politics...but...today the headline is the storm hitting the east...northeast...SANDY...and as you see it is massive...enough so that NYC has shut down the subways and busses...and the Stock Market...as we will all watch the surge of the water and it's derivatives...and we just thank goodness, that we live in a very mild climate down here in SD...it's also being called the Halloween Storm...probably the name that will stick...

OK, back to sports...
San Francisco Giants swept the Detroit Tigers and won the World Series...kind of a combination of solid pitching by 4 different blokes of SF and the paltry hitting of the highly advertised Detroit...alright, it was the wrong time to go into a slump...BUT...the Giants were on their game and deserved the wins...but, a sweep?...gosh, so disappointing...and, I could have sworn I saw the ghost of Guillermo "don't call me Willie" Hernandez out in the Tiger bullpen....

The stink bomb that the Chargers laid in Cleveland...now Crazy Horze predicted it....and I was the only one doing such a dastardly thing...but hey kids...Coach Norv needs to be voted off the island...so unprepared as always...and another thing...QB Rivers has had his better days...and he has been off for over a year and a half now...it's time to move on...I haven't read the Trib this am yet...I am sure it is a blistering attack on the coaching...has to be...

A good one was the NY Giants/Dallas Cowboys game...the Boys looked to pull off a miracle finish, but the replay showed the receiver caught the ball in the end zone, but braced his fall, with part of his hand on the end line...talk about a game of inches...and CH has talked about the lack of critical play by QB Romo...shoot he looks like Joe Willie in comparison to our guy...

BSBCS...as predicted...makes no difference what the rankings are in the major polls, but the "computer rankings" carry the most weight...as the Ducks are 2nd everywhere but in the corrupt computer ones...and get this...they are 5th, behind Florida!...who just got beat by Georgia...what?...if something smells real fishy, you are smelling right...stay calm...stay calm...concentrate on the big away game at USC...

Bad Frogs this weekend in Brawley...really?...I can't make this stuff up...
