Review

How about this?...a concert review of Wilson Phillips...you know, the trio of kids that are from Brian Wilson and the Mamas and Papas...down at the Bay...first of all, these concerts are like no other I have ever seen...the first part of it is the San Diego Symphony, doing songs of the 80's movies...absolutely perfect...as we are in the 3rd row...and each pod of 4 has their own table...ordered a cheese plate, a chicken dish, and a bottle of Napa Cab...even, two...and the other couple was a no show...so we had even more space...and then... the gals came on...
I think the highlight of the evening was their cover of Carl Wilson's "God Only Knows"...Chyna Phillips was splendid...well, the harmony was just beautiful....as the night went on they did their stuff, as well as the Beach Boys and Mamas and Papas covers...in fact, I wish they would have done the entire show of 'em...their encore song was "Hold On" that was bolstered by fireworks as the song was sung...so cool...such a great night of food, wine, and music...

Just about 5 blocks away, the Padres were hosting the Giants...and SF was rude, whupping the home team by like 10 or so...booooo....and, there were a whole host of SF fans in the GQ...see, that's what we are after here...a faithful following...and...the new owners have to establish that...I've gone through what is needed...let's just see what they do....

In another yawner...the Bolts host the Cowboys at the Q....football...and the 1st unit guys go 2 or 3 series...blacked out on the tube...of course, you can find it online if you want...

I'm thinking it's a Del Mar afternoon...I'm feeling it...
