End of an Era

This little golf tourney that 3 of us founded almost 10 short years ago...Rick Ziebell, Larry Morris, and Crazy Horze...the Masterz...started as the Masters at McNary GC in Keizer, Oregon...and grew from 24 to over 100 participants...both men and women at the end...yup, I said the end...as the end of an era happened...not really sure the reason...of course, I am no longer in the area...and the remaining two guys had to do mega amounts to keep it going...anyway...in honor of the first Saturday in August date of the T, I wore my Masterz hat yesterday while I was playing out at Sycuan...and without any rhyme or reason, played the best I have for over a year...go figure...maybe it was Karma...RIP Masterz...

It's but a week away, the beginning of the NFL season...er, pre-season...there is no bigger city pride than that of the Chargers...well, equal to others, for sure...and one little blip in the system...the NFL refs are still not in the fold...and the bloody replacements are in line to do the job...what you think?...disaster in the making?...

The Olympics...as well as the USA is doing, China is matching each and every step...was that expected?...and remember when Cuba was in the mix?...they only have 5 medals thus far...our swimmers have been awesome, Serena rules tennis, gal's gymnastics splendid, and now hoops...the one thing about scoring at will in one game, the next is never as easy...as the guys escaped with a win against Lithuania...never could find when the game was being shown...hate NBC's coverage...

I bought an electric barbecue...what, you are saying?...yup, it's a Weber...got so tired of the clean up and smoke of the gas one...and I am telling you, I lurve it...knowing how that company does things I expected a lot....and it is great....OK, you Traeger guys, it's not like that...but doing a steak or chicken, it is right on...and heats up big time...thought that was the drawbacks to electric...nope...

The Pads only gave up 10 walks in last night's game...what?...they were pretty real...HOWEVER, the dreaded ump, Angel Hernandez, was calling balls and strikes...and he is turrible...but we have to score more than two to win...boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo...

Where have all the Duck fans been?...have heard nothing about the fall practices...have they begun yet?...am REAL EXCITED for the season...by the way, what happened to that NCAA violations probe?...
