Zhark Bait

With news out of Australia of yet another shark strike...this time taking a 1/2 chunk of body from a surfer...it is time to try to figure out what is going on...hey, I know in Cocoa Beach, we are always looking out for 'em when we are body surfing...and this is the 5th strike down under...DEADLY...

The Pads have lost 5 in a row...not without a great pitching job by Clayton Richards...who gave up a 2 run dong for his only blemish...too bad, as he was a victim of shoddy infielding by 3B Headley...who mishandled an obvious bunt by the Dodger's Gwynn...which led to the big hit...however, SD continues it's horrendous non-hitting with men on base...0-9, and lose 2-1...boooooooooo...

You who are getting mad at me for the quotations of your guy...well...get real...I'm not making any of that stuff up...he says it...

OMG!  Is there an issue of People Magazine that doesn't have at least one article on the K family in it?...I mean please...a moratorium...and now their nanny has released a book on doing just that for the last 20 years...what?...

It's not the same watching golf without Tiger or Lefty in the field...next week is the British Open...and I think it's going to be one of the two who wins...but I'd never bet it...speaking of that...Delmar opens up next week...probably go on Friday...and they're off!

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
