Santa Barbara

Alas, ye matey!  They have landed at Santa Barbara...smaller than you would think, like 88 thousand people...in an absolutely gorgeous piece of the earth...and are living right on the beach for the first year....I'm talking Cris and Leila...as he begins his new practice there...not without the normal bumps in the road...but, it looks like smooth sailing from here on out...but, get this...NO TARGET!...

So how have the Pads been doing in my absence?...really OK...the Reds are in town and are a good team...deeper in pitching for sure...we have had our chances...the sale of the club could be this week...still a lot of hope...

Hey, this Webb Simpson kid is for real...the PGA has to start recognizing him as such...much more so than their darling, the Puma Kid...even though he uses that bloody belly putter...and I have heard that the PGA Gods are looking at banning that tool...

I'm going to try to golf tomorrow...and am going to ride in a cart....still limping...but stronger I suppose...hey, it's a built in excuse...

Vegas next week...sure, but somebody has to do it...back to the Mirage...you know the agenda...and once we get back, DelMar begins it's season of hoss racing!  Wow! 

I have to say that Sammi is the best traveling dog ever...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
