Happy 4th

Birthday of the country...loads of fireworks around here....and there are a series of parties we are going to...all in these high rises so we can see them in spectacular fashion...up and down the bay and beach...and thanks for the asking, I can handle the heights better...at least, than before...

The Pads are still the underdogs, for the 7th straight week...and have won 7 of 10...must be driving the odds guys wack...as SD has gone bonkers with their young guns banging the ball...duh, Crazy Horse, has been recommending this all season...why don't they listen to me?...kind of a problem, though...ace flame thrower, Cashner, was pulled after 2 innings with a muscle problem...hope that's all it is...

Think about how we used to pay bills...write the checks, lick the stamps, balance the books...repeat...now, with the internet...all this is done with online banking....and, if you keep enough dough in the account, it is free...and you can check your balance any time you want...and check out the activity at all times...so cool...

There was this article in SI, about the ladies legendary golfer, Mickey Wright...who finds the amount of money that the present day gals get for their trade...is awesome...and you better be thanking the groundwork she did for you, lady hacks...she talked about all the clinics that they used to put on...for FREE...had to entice the people to come out and support the Lady's Tour...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
