Do you know this guy?  He is the leader of the tiny country that has been giving us fits for 50 years...now that we are celebrating the 50 Year Reunion of the Beach Boys...we can also look at what was happening back in that time...as our Prez, JFK, was just taking power...and one of his campaign commitments was to the "mafia of Chicago"...who just happened to lose their prized casinos in Havana...and promised to get us back into Cuba...and the "Bay of Pigs" happened....where our CIA backed group of Cubans invaded their own homeland...and needed air support from the US....and JFK didn't do it...and this guy's brother established himself as the leader of Central American Communism...I believe this was the beginning of the fall of our Prez...anyway, this is Raul Castro...who just now has announced that he wants to begin talks with the US of A to end all the embargoes and restart communications...it's about time...

This beisbol trading deadline...it has significant ramifications for those who are in the playoff races and those who are in need of good, young, build-able talent...of course, the Padres are in the latter...and the hot rumor is...the Yankees lost their 3B Alex Rodriguez to injury, and are eyeballing the Pad's Chase Headley...who actually joked that he was going to shave his beard, the mantra of NY players...geez, I just don't think the Yankees have pitchers that are worthy in their farm system...and that's what SD needs...

Is the only thing that triggers our stock market is the European Euro stability?...as the US banks have gotten bigger than ever, I just can't imagine them investing that much in the foreign markets...are they?...this is all so confusing that no one...and I mean no one...has the answers...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
