Miami Misfire

Let's see...you open a new stadium in the Cuban area of town...to get more people to come to the games...spend a lot of dough bringing in new players...get yourself a bang up manager...open the season at home...what could go wrong?...gulp...you start by losing badly...then your manager starts popping off...declaring his admiration for...FIDEL CASTRO!...oops, the community is filled with Cuban defectors...who absolutely hate the man...well...what?...Ozzie Guillen is not the sharpest tool in the shed...and just may be out of a job soon...the Wizard of Oz...

DWTS...the judges were cranky last night...but...did not understand the high marks for Cheryl...they goofed a bunch of times...weird...sure seems like a lot of drama for the "stars"...

We are hitting the Kelly Clarkson concert tonight...mosh pit...really have Marsh scared...it's at the Sports Arena...the seats there are great...and indoors...by the way, it costs $20 to park...what?

I'm off to Sycuan...supposed to rain here manana..so bumped the day up...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
