Error?

If you are not a baseball junkie you are not going to like this article....it's about the benign duty of an official scorekeeper in Major League Baseball...hey, it's not like the guy or gal who keeps the little league books...or the coach who has it on his ipad looking gizmo in the 3rd base box...or the wife of the coach who has the unbelievable knowledge of a backward K...or the sports beat writer of the local newspaper...but...
it used to be...prior to 1980...each big league town had their own guy who served in that capacity...which led to very favorable decisions that affected the holy grail in this grand sport....the records...this game of baseball is all about records...due to it's pace of play, the commentary of the who, what, when, and where has always been the rage...in fact, if you have never listened to the legendary Vin Scully of the LA Dodgers, you are missing the encyclopedia of the history of the game...each and every broadcast...and he has no expert guy sitting beside him , making the most of all obvious statement about what just happened...I digress...
MLB has hired these blokes whose only job is to officially score keep the games...and I wonder what these guys are watching....I'm going to the latest games in SD where the "official" score was bewildering and blatantly awful...against the afore mentioned Dodgers, the Pads made 4, count 'em 4, errors on one play...and were only nailed for 2 of 'em...and last night...LF Guzman dropped a pop up, albeit after he actually had to run to miss it, and was not given an error, but ruled a base hit...crazy...so...I can't tell you how many times when AGonzo was here, they would rule his mistakes defensively as hits...it was humorous...maybe just maybe, they need to have a couple of blokes looking this stuff over...and not just one foo...

When do you decide to sit a player?...Catcher Nick Hundley...is batting .000 after 7 games...0 fer 19....and is in critical hitting times...and either K's or barely puts the bat on the ball...makes some sense to move him to 8th...if you have to have him in the lineup...like he doesn't know he's inept right now and struggling...step up, swing 3 times, and maybe he will make contact...

In that other sport...hooping it up...LeBron is maybe the worst closer of all "stars" I can remember...maybe, just maybe, he feels the "heat"....
