Da Weather
How about down here?...well, we have not had the extremes...but it has been chilly...it changes every few days...good, then not so good...but pretty much 70* everyday...albeit, I would say more like 68* this year...
How does the word perfect sound to you?...not the weather, but a big leaguer throwing a perfect game...got every one of the the opponents out...well, it happened to this feller Humber, of the White Sox...against the northwest's own, Mariners...we got to see the last two innings and it was high drama...especially the last out...a full count...and there was no way the umpire was going to screw up the game this time around...last season "blue" blew a call and cost a Detroit bloke a perfect game...it could have been two years ago...anyway, the home plate ump called an "unchecked" swing as the final strike and after a muff by the catcher, the throw down got the batter out and thus...the perfect game...the replay shows it should have been ball four...oh well, we all make mistakes...
Close the door...the mighty Padres won a game...even against the best pitcher in the game...Roy Halladay of the Phils...beisbol...don't ever bet on it...included in this euphoric happening was a decent game out of the almost gone, ODog...go figure...outstanding pitching effort by Cory Luebke...5-1...so I guess, if I lambast SD, they come out the next day and play like a real big league team...ha ha...so here goes, they are pathetic and have no right being on the field...
So how are the boyz in Boston doing? The unparalleled Red Sox are struggling....funny how the lack luster play follows some guy from SD....anyway, there is high heat on their new, controversial manager, Bobby Valentine...who has already called out publicly, the beloved 3B Youiklis...and just "weathered" a far from perfect storm...the 100 year anniversary of the club at their park...they brought back a bunch of old stars...and promptly got whupped by the hated Yanks...and were up 9-0 going into the 6th inning...as the manager of NY was interviewed by Fox..."we're not too worried, as you can score a bunch here...anytime!"...how right he was...as the Yankees scored 15, FIFTEEN, runs in the next 4 innings, to win, going away....and the boos...every time BV walked out to switch pitchers...wow...boooooooooooooooooooo...oh yea, they are 4-10 and on the bottom of the league...are you smelling a change a coming?....
Draft day is very soon...and the Bolts are being very quiet about what they are going to do...geez, I know LaMichael James will be there for the taking...hoping, hoping, hoping...by the way, do you think the top 3 taken will be QB's?...
Finally, the NBA is limping into the playoffs...who you got?...the Heat?...not me...in the east, if Rose is healthy, da Bulls...in the west...Spurs or the Lakers...never, ever, bet on the games...
Watch out for Kuchar to come out of the pack in San Antonio....
