Nope, Not Yet

Your Clips are not there yet...they have the spunk, but not the size...and they don't have Kobe, or somebody like him...sure, nobody does...it was a nice game...full of spats, and great plays...the Lakers still have it on 'em...other stuff...did you see where Oregon's own, Kevin Love, now of the Minnesota Wolves...signed a 4 year pact for $60 million...not too shabby...and your Blazers, tuff at home, yet woeful away from the Rose Garden...still think that LeBron is not the great player that Kobe is...

The Navy Seals are in a league of their own...it's like what you see in the movies...as they rescue a pair of hostages in Somalia...and the captors?...all met their maker...er, they are dead...

The Farmer's Insurance Open starts up out at Torrey Pines today...highlighted by Lefty...your fav, Tiger, is over in the Dubai desert...playing in a tourney, where he gets a $1 million appearance fee...yup, I would have done it, too...I came 4 inches from getting my 3rd hole in one...have to admit, it looked stiff the entire way...just to show, how lucky that it is...as I was a spaz most the entire day...

I have the Giants over the Pats in the Soooper Bowl...they have the tougher D and that wins these...yup, take it to the casino...put a quid on it...

Lots of talk about relocating the Charger's stadium down on the bay, in downtown...creating an extension of the convention center and creating a beach...wow..it is stunning...and if so, we can just smile at the value of our property...not that we need to feel like Mitt...look it up on the Trib's website...very impressive...

Did you watch the Prez's State of the Union Address?...we did, and man, can that guy talk...+++

To be fair, there is but another GOP debate tonight in Florida...enough already...what else can they dig up on one another?...OK, it'll be who can say the most garbage against Prez O...has to be...

And have you checked out the Demi Moore case?...what?...if it is drugs...why?...guess it's a different world being rich, famous, and part of the pretty people...and, or, keeping in the condition of the them types...sad....

And on that somber note, I say get out and enjoy this heat wave...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
