'Tis the season when the pro baseball and pro basketball boys sign on for boocoo bucks...just take a look at the salaries garnered by Albert Pujols, the SS Reyes, closer Heath Bell...to name but a few....and...the Padres, after losing Bell, picked up Houston Street as their finisher...got him from Colorado...and the rumor was we wanted to give them ODog in exchange...and they wanted nothing to do with him...another part of the disaster that former GM, Jed Hoyer, left...boo...but yea, for the new acquisition by the new GM...

Watched the SDSU/UCD hoop game last night...finally, the Bill Grier led team has turned the corner...recruited some decent frosh and will be in the mix in another year...says me...however, the Aztecs are too quick...and came back from a ten point deficit and pulled away late...I'm telling you, Steve Fisher, can coach...and they are 9-2...more, but in football...SDSU did join the Big East, only....as I told you yesterday...it should be called the Coast 2 Coast Conference...can't blame 'em as they will make 4 times the dough by joining up...in lieu of the Mountain West...

Survivor...really good season...as Coach and Ozzie are destined to meet up in the end...BUT...the teaser is that Ozzie may get beat at Redemption Island...have to admit, seeing Cochran leaving made me feel real good...

GOP...Newt is pulling away...and there is a debate coming up and Mitt doesn't figure in it...as the moderator is to be the Trumpster...the Donald was on the Pierce Morgan Show last eve...and if he could have said any more about how great he himself was...well, it's not possible...and flash...your gurl Sarah, is debating about showing up and doing the debate...yeh...that's what I'm talking about....

I know the star studded films are usually major fluff...but isn't it time for a Christmas Flick...well, it's the New Year's Eve one...so we'll get down to the big screen and take it in...popcorn, pop, and tix...$40...geez...

Cold...no wet stuff...but cold...and at the course once the sun went down, it felt like the air conditioner went on...first time in 4 years it has been like this...everyone here has big heavy coats on...funny stuff, really....not like the parkas that are needed up in the great northwest...

Finally we are done having the condo spruced up...so beautiful...throw in the Xmas stuff and we are set to go...which I am doing right now...where is my stocking cap?

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
