The Attack

I will never forget the description of the attack on the US of A by the Japanese...Pearl Harbor...by my mother when I was but a little boy...and had fears of an attack for the next 5 years thereafter...thanks mom...on this day in December, the 7th..."Day of Infamy", as described by our Prez Roosevelt...and since, could not fathom their rationale...it must have been a death wish...makes no sense at all...and now, Japan is one of our better allies...weird, huh...

And felt like nothing like that could ever happen to us, again...and then the Bin Laden attacks...goes to show how evil some people can be...just a waste of humanity...

More much more mundane things...did you catch the Michael Buble Christmas Show?  I think he's our last good crooner...great personality and great voice...still haven't heard his Xmas CD...am not in the merry mood, yet...

My achilles is back to normal...and my goal is to bet back and walk the course...won't be today, as it is a tourney at 12...shotgun...don't know the teams or the format 'til we get there...but will be placed in carts and off we go...

Did you see where the Alabama coach voted Oklahoma St down, 'cuz he wanted to make sure his team would get in the BSBCS champ game?  The whole system is corrupt and a piece of dung...boo...wait, I'm not sure if I had a vote, I would have done any thing different for my team...still, booo...

"Red Solo Cup" is a fun song...Toby Keith...brings back many memories...and some not that far in the distance...

For dindin tonight...pork butt...doesn't sound so great, huh...but it will be...

Late Breaking News...San Diego St. will join the Big East Conference!  In football, and no other sports...likely the rest of 'em will be in the Big West...so, it seems that the Big East is REAL BIG...as it covers from coast to coast...and the Big West is REAL SMALL...as it covers only Cali...blames all this on the corrupt BSBCS...boo....

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
