Fall Back

Did you set your clocks back an hour?  With our hibernation Saturday it was no problem for us...watched a whole gaggle of NCAA football games...and man, do I have opinions...are you ready?  Also, got to gander at the Duckees on the internet...wasn't carried down here on Cox...so, with no real bias, here goes...well, maybe a bit of it...

LSU over Alabama...OK, the pundits were right...totally close and a bunch of D dominating...and it was somewhat of a nail biter...for those two and those who bet on 'em...but for everyone else...awful...the lack of O was all over the place...and I detested the game...boo...I would never pick either one of them for number one...it came down to one non-playing kicker...boo...one who can and one who can't...boo...

Oklahoma St. over Kansas St...now, that's what I'm talking about!  In the 50's and fun to watch...there are those of you who may say that they both didn't have any D...so what, it was great to watch and I continue to push the Cowboys to the BSBCS championship game...so are you down with me?  Don't really care...fun, fun, fun...

Arkansas over South Carolina...well, I am sorry to say, but the Razorbacks are pretty darn good....and will have a voice over the Duckees 'cuz of where they are...not too sad to watch the 'ol Gator coach, Steve Spurrier,  take his lumps...they are a long shot for the title, but in the conversation...

Stanford over Oregon State...mildly interesting early on...the Beavs are a mess...who knows what that O is...enough about them...key injuries to the Cardinal makes them vulnerable in the next week epoch game versus the Duckees...and, I continue this...Luck is the best QB going into the NFL, EVER...

Boise St. over UNLV...duh...at least the Rebs had a lot of spirit...flying around and did some nice hitting...we will never know just how good BS really is...it kind of seems like a shame to put them in the title game...and that's why a playoff is needed...or, one of the many reasons...now that is a sham...

Northwestern over Nebraska...AT NEBRASKA...OK, I just watched the end of this...it wasn't even close...late score made it seem so...good...now they get out of Oregon's way...bias?  sure...

Oregon over Washington...geez, the line was 16 1/2...and the Ducks won by 17...how do these guys know this stuff...whew...I was afraid of this one and the team seems ready for the Cardinal...will give their best shot and the play on the field will determine who gets a coveted spot in the BSBCS system...

And I watched SDSU whup the defenseless New Mexico....Army blow a 14 point lead to the Air Force...Idaho go crazy winning over San Jose, their 1st in 7 games...UCLA survive against Ariz St, and stay in the hunt for a Pac-12 Champ game...and Iowa upset Michigan...wow...

That's it and that's a lot of staring at the tube, or whatever I am watching now...and some other stuff...there is mega talk about SDSU, paired with BSU, going to the Big East...what?  Aren't we on the west coast?  I won two more Breeder's Cup races...er, I won the bets...and pocketed $40 profit...close your eyes...the Bolts host the Pack...there are so many Cheese Heads roaming the Q...not too hard to pick 'em out...in fact, a number of them gave me the thumbs up as we were biking about with our Duck gear on...geez, they thought we were one of them...

I understand your comment about The LSU/AL game. It was a hard fought game of two great defenses. It did remind me of soccer or baseball though.
The Duckls drive me nuts. The offense , specifically Darron Thomas was very erratic in the first half. He looked scared and threw poorly. Why they played Darrell Hawkins at receiver was interesting since he hasn't played much and then dropped three passes.
I really thought we might see Bennett back at QB.
Then Darron opended the second half with a flawless drive and things got better.
LaMichael is about 80% and thats enough to get it done. Barner has become an equal threat and at time its hard to figure out who is carry the ball, he or LaMike.
Hard to believe we don't have a place kicker that make it over 40yds. Ex McN kid playing for PSU makes 50 + routinely.
TE David Paulson is now the threat we thought he'd be. and the Defense is starting to impress. Corners are still too small and freshman. Concerns me against Luck and Tight Ends.
Again, this is a young team thats getting better. If they beat Stanford, look out! you still going to the game?
