Back when the QB's called their own plays and the emergence of the AFL, there was this star out of Baylor that the Dallas Texans drafted to make their franchise the top of the heap...Francis Marion Davidson...but, he had a nickname, Cotton...and he led them to prominence in a fledgling league...ended up getting out of the pros....went into coaching and then...wooah...came back to the league for 7 years for the...Oakland Raiders!  To this day, one of their better ones, right alongside Daryl Lamonica, George Blanda, Kenny Stabler...and on this date...back in '64, he threw 5 td's in another team's boot of the Broncos...yeh...

As dismal as the Bolts were this past Sunday, they still lead the west...I still think the game smelled...and nobody can tell me differently...next up at KC...on Monday nite...fav by 3 1/2...what?  Doesn't that seem goofy, too?  Should be 9...I just don't get the NFL....

The collegiate lines are out...the Odd Board, as I call it...some big games out there...Nebraska (4 1/2) hosting Mich St...Oklahoma (14 1/2) at Kansas St...what?...USC at Stanford (7 1/2)...and the sublime...Oregon giving 35 versus the Cougs...SDSU giving 16 1/2 against the visiting Cowboys, led by the former West Salem QB...might get out there to the Q and take it in...

DWTS...OK, for youse who watch this...the two top, Rikki and JR, are way above the others, according to the judges....and me...and way at the bottom are Chaz and Nancy Grace...by the way, she got a nine, which was absolutely the biggest joke in the history of the show...but...the real story was Maxgate...as Max let the judge Len have both barrels as Len once again ripped Max's partner, soccer goalie Hope...my take?  Len has been rough on Hope from the get go...these are not pro's...and the crap just reached the breaking point...he deserved it...lighten up...

A new album just out...and it is great!  I know Snooki doesn't like her much...but it's got catchy stuff in it...Kelly Clarkson's Stronger...I'm not going to steer you wrong...

Good morning all, from the great state of Oregon...this whole trip is about FRIENDS!...meeting up with peops we have been with over our years in the PNW...and for Boss's reunion....the opening act was a combo party of the two at this pad, a bar, called Johnny's...simply said, it was fun... The stories were there, the faces remained the same...and it tickled moi, that so many FRIENDS showed up...unfortunately, I did not get enough time to talk to all, please forgive me...when you go back some 60 years, my memory does fade a tad...well, and so does their's...ha ha...believe me, it was worth the trip... Boss was one of the belles of the ball...yes, she still looks great...you know that....well, the rest of her class did not know that, until last eve...she was flitting (flirting) about so...which made me smile...and that is only the beginning of it...the REAL reunion is tonight...one of my FRIENDS reminded me that is the gals reunion...which I think is most reunions...it is for...

When the thesaurus ran it's new version...it highlighted the word 'oration'...and there it was ... President Barack Obama...and then there is more..... see...Michelle Obama ...these two have the fundamental prowess of giving speeches...at the right time...at the right place... No better example of this, than last night at the DNC...each were marvelous...of course ...it's what people, special people, like these two...do...carry a message across the Nation...that we all can not only understand, but agree with... For seemingly years, the Horse has said...that if Michelle O wanted to be in the White House, AGAIN...this time as the President, and not the wife...she could ...however, for right now...she is supporting the right choice...for this time of the history of our country....
