Shark!

In our sleepy little beach, just a bit away from us...in Mission Beach...it's the go to place for most of us sun worshipers...and there are a bunch of the surfers that dot the coast line...just a small problem...there appears to be a great white lurking...spotted by the lifeguards...it has closed down the water ways for the last two days...according to most of the locals...they are out there...just a little closer to shore now...

Watched a flick last night that we had never heard anyone talk about..."Get Low"...starring Robert Duvall, Sissy Spacek, and Bill Murray...great...it's one of those that you have to rent and just enjoy...no, I'm not telling you a thing about it...it's soooo diff...

Irene didn't pack the wallop that was feared...which is a good thing...and now most resembles a strong northwest storm...just makes you wonder what type of weather those easterners really go through...

The Bolts at the Cards last night...don't take too much out of it...BUT...the back up QB Volek, put on a show to win the game at the buzzer...even with the screw up of Norv (of course) in prime time...he messed up the clock in the last minute...duh...the real deal here...still worries about Mathews (RB)...the rest of the O...dang good...the D...missing key bodies and gave up too many rushing yards...hard to tell...overall, a good practice...not great...

It's a real problem...the lack of life in the Pads...laying over and doing the best coffin fodder in the league...well, maybe a little strong, but there is little going on positive with this group...the DBacks are OK, but very average...SD makes 'em look a lot better than they really are...I'm gonna say this here...SF overtakes Arizona in the last 2 weeks...mark this down...

I don't know about you, but I'm finally coming down from my natural high of watching the coverage of the Kardashian wedding...man, that was so exciting and exhilarating...and is there a better way of filling up the People Magazine pages?  Gosh, I am just catching my breath...

I'm heading up to Del Mar for the Pacific Coast Classic...had a super day on Friday...and now try the Sunday card to make some cash...I doubt if i hang 'til the Classic, but will bet it...leaning to Dude right now....prior to studying the form...

MTV's tonight...usually grandiose and more glitz and goof...than good...gag...give your DVR a grand going over...record and glance at a few of the Gaga's garb...and grade it as generic garbage...geez...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
