As I was growing up, there was this team, that just couldn't get a win ...in MLB...23 straight losses...the Philadelphia Phillies...'61...when I was collecting baseball cards...Johnny Callison, Don Demeter, Dallas Green, Robin Roberts...and on and on...the team only won 47 the entire season...the legendary Gene Mauch was the skipper...so kids, it could happen to the best...

Which leads me to the present day Mariners...yup, Seattle...working on a 17 gamer...and is there a break in the streak coming up?  Geez, and they have pretty good pitching...but they are running through Boston and NY...keep the faith M's...you won't top the 23 list...no way...

Hey, the Pads can't put together a streak like that...but they looked like a loser last night getting shut out by the lowly DBacks at SD...another shut out...OMG...

The lock out is over in the NFL...and the next 2 weeks will be filled with moves and trades...for you Charger fans...it looks like Vincent Jackson is going nowhere...great news, kids...he's a great one..

Off to Sycuan...

oops...I turned it off before I went to sleep...duh...and the Pads scored a run...6-1 loss....and...the M's won today behind Felix and are now on a one game winning streak...and...I won all the $ in golf today...
