Awkward

It's the last day of the trading season in MLB...and none more awkward than Ubaldo Jimenez...that same guy we saw when we were eating at Aqua Al2 the other night...as he was warming up to pitch against the Friars last night, there was a hot rumor that he was to be traded to Cleveland....and the deal was imminent...he starts the game and is in a funk...walks 4 guys and gives up 4 runs in the 1st inning...gets pulled...starts hugging his now, former Colorado teammates, and departs...yup, to Cleveland...of course, the deficit he left, was to be overcome by the Rockies against the defenseless Padres...GG, this is an awful team...and irony of sorts...the big hit he gave up was to Ryan Ludwig (actually Ludwick), who also is rumored to be going to Cleveland...his probable new teammate...we can hope...
And the Heath Bell debacle...geez, it's been out there that he was going to the Rangers, Phillies, Red Sox, Cards, and now the Yankees...article in the Trib seems to say, that he will finish the season at SD...and then go commando and get a bunch more than we think...and the Pads get a draft pick...???
And the final thought...there will be a rash amount of movement by the Pads this morning...and 4 of 'em are going...I think this is a possibility...Ludwick, Bell, Harang, and Qualls...and the Pads as we know it will be restructured...OK, it's your turn, play station GM...

The debt ceiling...it's an indicator of how futile and ridiculous group of money hungry congress people we have in office work, or don't...is that a sentence?  Subject, verb, adverb, noun...OMG, I forget all the parts...Gilman, help me out!

Now that the NFL is back in business, try to follow the plight of the Bolts...they are making moves, but all are in a giveaway mode...who's coming here?  Nobody thus far....and with that I say...have a tighten up Sunday...

Update...this is what happened...Mike Adams, the guy who was told by the management he wasn't going anywhere....was traded to the Rangers for 2 minor league pitchers....and Ryan Ludwick, was traded to Pittsburgh for the proverbial player to be named later, or a six pack...and Heath Bell?  Still a Pad...and SD scored 8 and won...go figure...
