SABONIS!...it was a time where no man was picked outside of the US of A...and I can remember being at a hoop camp working for my old boss, Chuck Robinson, as we, too, groaned...when the announcement was made...you see, in Oregon,
IT IS THE PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS and only them...and at the time, seemed to be a wasted pick...turned out to be a very good one, as
Arvydas had like 7 or 8 pretty good seasons with
PDX....it took awhile for him to finally get over to the US to play, in the 90's...but he was a major player for 'em...
which brings me to this question...from what country will the
Blazers do their picking today? Their pick is in the 20's again, and chances are, not a major player...so, do they trade? I reckon so...
Break up
