Kentucky Derby

It's a couple of weeks away, but the equine sporting event of the year is upon us...THE KENTUCKY DERBY...never been there and it's on my list...and the fav, according to T Bone is...Mucho macho man...now, this is a sport you can bet on...

What on earth was that mess that PDX and Dallas played last night?  I can say what the NBA players and coaches can't...the curious exorbitant amount of touch fouls going Dirk's way...it's a shame, maybe a sham, that a game can be called in that manner...and, why oh why, does Andre Miller get so much playing time?  He can't shoot, defend, jump....does he always go beneath screens?  So to counter that, Nate switches everything...so Dirk comes over, runs a pick for the guy that Miller is shading, and boom...Miller is shading Dirk...duh...reminder to all of you...my hint for the Blazers, to win, Andre must pass the ball, not shoot it...it's not looking good PDX...unless...

Geez, another downer one...the Padres...at least they sat Ludwick....and they were going against a pitcher with an ERA of 10...success?  Well, the Pads scored 3...like good for them...but, not enough...egads....today Richards goes and he gives up 5 every time out...so..
wait, get this...we load up with lefty hitters to combat their righty pitcher....and sit our only hot hitter, C Nick Hundley...OMG...and for those of you wondering about bringing up some help from the minors...like at 1B...Rizzo is killing at .378 in Tucson...why are we waiting?

Did you know the PGA is playing in Texas?  If Lefty and Tiger aren't in it, people just don't care...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
