PGA West

I have to comment on one of the courses we played...the PGA West, Palmer Course...yup, that one...we got a member guest rate of $115....ouch, yet it was fun...very challenging, yet wide landing areas for most of the drives...picturesque through out...the back nine is where the TV does a bunch of their shots...very short par 3's out of the rocks and all...so diff from the rest of the layout...not real crazy about the finishing holes...but figure, they just ran out of land and did what they could...

Idol...OMG!...fantastic night last night...there are 5 of these that could win...Lauren, Jacob, Scotty, and James all were off the charts and could have won any of the previous years since Carrie...but Pia...wow...the best of the best...JLO and Randy want to see her move and try to bee bop...OK, that'll be next week...I'm not crazy about Motown covers, but the Idol singers did just great...I was hoping Scotty would have done "Lovin Feelin"...

the odds on SDS winning it all is 16-1...now if I were a betting man...as your guy Charles would say, them odds are turrible...NOBODY has the Aztecs beating UConn...nobody...look for a huge contingent roaming Anaheim for the game....it should sound like a home game...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
