Oil

Is the only reason we care so much about the Middle East is because of their oil?  Is it that we want them all to have democracy, as we continue to banter about?  Weren't we happy enough when those countries were dictator led?  It seems...well...we are so dependent on that bloody oil...and we want to get it over there, not around here...Albeit, the stability of the world is rocked right now...the mid twenties of that region want a say in what they do...and they will get it...case in point, Gadhafi in Libya...he has shown that brutal leadership will lead to an overthrow...as we watch...

Unfortunately, the elected leaders of the local communities, have to figure a way to balance their budgets...and the only way to do so is to cut back...where do they do so?  Schools, fire department, police department, roads, parks, that type of public paid phenomena...and now the popular method is by cutting teachers...but first...they figure on busting the unions...and we have a major battle beginning...again...or...up the taxes...and get something out of nothing...hey, here I go...but how about reducing pay...and I mean by everyone...including the ridiculous leaders...governors, school superintendents, teachers, administrators, police, fire guys and gals...on and on...

So much less mundane...Dancing With The Stars...it has been used by quite a few to kick start their fledgling careers...you know who...and the latest rumored invitee...the "I'm not a witch" lady, who professes to be a member of the Tea Party, Ms. Odonnell...gosh, if true, won't that be fun...Max, your turn...

I need to rest up...by the way, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
