Did you watch the Breeder's Cup?  Zenyatta in a tremendous come from behind effort...but for the 1st time ever...lost...by a couple of inches and it was thrilling...
Lakers destroyed the Blazers...well...there is no comparison there...is it just me, or has Brandon Roy lost a step...
The Bolts get a huge win in Texas... and now get a bye and will get their receiver corps back...
Ducks hold onto the BSBCS numero uno rank...my feeling is that Auburn will retain a spot in the champ game, as long as it goes undefeated...doesn't have to score big, just win...on the other hand Oregon has to score 7-9 touchdowns every game to hold onto the top spot...
OK...for all the hullaballoo that you have been throwing at me for the Beavers demise...it's not my fault...in fact, I'm going to pick them again this week...and they will win...I hope...
I need some rest...maybe you can call it my bye week...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
