Remember when?  The closer was Trevor Hoffman...and in the latter part of his SD career, he lost most of his glamorous pitches...his fast ball was about the speed of his breakers...thus, he was pounded...alas, the Brewers liked what he still had, and signed him...and last season he had a resurgence...but this year, not so much...as age has finally caught up to him...he's like 40+...anyhoo, he actually got a close yesterday in St Louie....good on him, number 598...

The most non-talked about team in MLB...the San Diego Padres...won 9 of their last 10, leading the West by 6, the first NL team to win 70 games...and still...the major networks won't televise them...they will show the Dodgers and show the remorse of the demise of LA...horse crap...beat LA?  beaten down LA...ha ha...go for it, ESPN, go suck your Illinois eggs...

Ryan Mathews...the Bolt's running back...the real deal, kids....if you want a steal in your fantasy draft...get him...he's all purpose...I warned you...speaking of his college, Fresno St...they are joining the Mountain West, along with Nevada Reno...as...the BYU Mormons are seeking an independent way...at least in football...???  and why now?  Just seems strange to me...everything is BCS bull crap...I say, good riddance...by the way, the coaching staff at SDS is like all -stars...

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
